Canon U.S.A., Inc. has introduced a new flagship model to its 2009 VIXIA high-definition camcorder line, the VIXIA HF S11 Dual Flash Memory camcorder. For those video enthusiasts looking to capture the moment in breathtaking HD quality, the VIXIA HF S11 provides advanced HD features and professional-level manual controls. Additionally, Canon announced a new camcorder accessory, the RA-V1 Remote Control Adapter for professional-level functionality when shooting from a tripod.

Playstation gets lower price, new look and 120GB

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today unveiled the new PlayStation®3 (CECH-2000A) (body color: charcoal black) computer entertainment system, featuring an extremely streamlined form factor with a 120GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD).
The new PlayStation®3 (PS3®) system will become available in stores from September 1, 2009, in North America, Europe/ PAL territories and Asian countries and regions at a very attractive recommended retail price (RRP) of US$299 and €299, respectively. The system will become available in Japan on September 3, 2009, at a RRP of 29,980 yen (including tax). With the introduction of the new PS3 system, SCE will also reduce the price of the current PS3 with 80GB HDD to a RRP of US$299 from August 18 and €299 from August 19.

Sharp Aquos DX Series LCD TV with built-in Blu-ray Disc recorder

Sharp Corporation will introduce 13 new models (in 26V-, 32V-, 40V-, 46V-, and 52V-inch sizes) of the AQUOS DX Series LCD TV with built-in Blu-ray Disc recorder.
Sharp stated that since being launched in November 2008, the DX Series has enjoyed high praise and brisk sales for all-in-one convenience offering ease-of-use and the ability to record on Blu-Ray Discs and play back Blu-Ray Discs and conventional DVDs.
This second edition of the DX Series brings more advanced functions such as even better images and ease-of-use. The recording function is improved with the 7X extended HD video recording (7X mode), which allows extended recording time while retaining the same exact full-HD quality as the original high-definition broadcast. Image quality has also been taken to a new level with the High-Picture-Quality Master Engine(On 40V-, 46V-, 52V-inch models ), as well as Clear Double Speed function for crisp, high-speed images.

Panasonic announced today that Amazon Video On Demand is now available on its full line of 2009 VIERA CASTTM-enabled Blu-ray Disc Players. Current owners of Panasonic’s 2009 Blu-ray Disc players automatically received a free software update today and can begin enjoying the service immediately when they register their VIERA CAST Blu-ray Disc Player with Amazon Video On Demand.
