Philips advanced Pronto home control panels intoduction
Philips today announced the availability of two new ProntoScript modules that facilitate integration with AV servers and home automation controllers for the most advanced, connected home experience.
The remote control integrations, developed in conjunction with Home Automation Inc. (HAI) and Kaleidescape Inc., deliver a richer user interface, allowing users to simplify home automation by controlling lights, temperature and security or control A/V equipment via a single Philips Pronto home control panel.
Philips Pronto home control panel facilitates two-way, multi-room control in its touch panel units, and enable access to rich content such as song and movie meta-data on the controller. The latest Philips Pronto home control panels, the TSU9600 and TSU9400, have both been recognised with CES Innovation awards.
Home Automation Inc., a leading manufacturer of security and home automation products, has integrated Philips TSU9600 or TSU9400 home control panels with the HAI Omni or Lumina family to deliver the ProntoLink module, offering a range of new features from a single device. ProntoLink allows home owners to use a Philips remote to adjust lights or temperature, access home security and control home theatre or hi-fi systems.
In addition, leading entertainment server manufacturer, Kaleidescape Inc. is releasing its ProntoScript module, enabling control of home AV systems, access to movie data and the ability to display cover-art on the screen of a Philips TSU9600 or TSU9400 home control panels.

Philips latest integrated two-way home control solutions will be showcased at CEDIA Expo 2008 in London from 24 to 26 June.

• In the lighting domain, Lutron Radio RA, Lutron HomeWorks, Vantage, DynaLite, LiteTouch, Z-wave controllers via the Hawking HomeRemote and Rako are supported. “The Partnership permits both companies to enter new markets and field new opportunities that we otherwise couldn’t do on our own,” says Dannielle Furness, Marketing Manager of Dynalite. “We see the Pronto Partnership with Philips as a unique way to offer a better service to our customers in line with what today’s installers’ market is demanding. • In A/V Servers: Escient Fireball DVD and Music Managers, Imerge MS5000 video server, SoundServer S3000 and Xiva supported music servers (Elan VIA! DJ series 2, Revox M37 mkII, Niles DMS4, SpeakerCraft Mode Jukebox and Xantech Xmusic W+), Nuvo M3 server, Arcam MS250, Vudu XL and Kaleidescape Systems are supported. “For some time the Pronto provided the best hand-held control experience for Imerge SoundServers,” states James Meredith, Technical Sales Executive of Imerge, “Now with the TSU9600, Philips has taken the Imerge & Pronto experience to the next level. • For high-end amplifiers, two-way communication (e.g. volume feedback) with Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, and Onkyo models is supported.
• In security, Panasonic BB-HCM511 IP cameras are supported.
